At Home Extension Care:

Brushing — Morning & Night
Gently section your hair row by row. Start at the ends, holding the section with one hand while brushing with the other, and work your way upward slowly. Always support each row with your hand to avoid unnecessary tension.

Brush into the top of the wefts, but never over them. Consistent, gentle brushing keeps your extensions smooth, tangle-free, and looking their best.

Washing
Begin by fully saturating your hair with water. Clip the top row up and apply shampoo, gently cleansing both above and below the bottom row. Shampoo twice to create a thorough lather. Release the next row and repeat.

After washing, squeeze out excess water and apply conditioner from the ends upward. Avoid applying directly to the top of the rows—use any leftover product on your hands to lightly smooth closer to the roots. Comb through to distribute evenly, then rinse thoroughly.

Avoid…

  • Avobenzone, an ingredient in many sunscreens, which can discolor extension hair.

  • Chlorine, saltwater, and lake water. If swimming, brush your hair first, saturate it with clean water, and apply conditioner to the mids and ends. Style in a low bubble braid or ponytail, then wash and condition immediately afterward.

  • Claw clips that dig into your rows or wefts.

  • Tugging or pulling on your extensions—handle your rows with care to maximize longevity.

Always…

  • Use only high-quality, stylist-recommended haircare products.

  • Apply a leave-in conditioner and heat protectant every time you style.

  • Limit heat styling when possible, and keep tool temperatures low.

  • Blow-dry the tops of your hand-tied wefts instead of air-drying to prevent moisture buildup and matting.
